Does anyone have NT scripts that :
1) shutdown an Oracle database
2) verfies Oracle is down
3) performs a cold backup of the Oracle database and associated control
files
4) verifies successfull completion of the backup
5) starts the Oracle database

Stan,
I have minimal experience with 3590 B11's. If this is what you
have, you may want to verify the volumes in the library are correctly
reflected in the devconfg.file. It shoud look something like the following:
DEFINE DEVCLASS 3590_CLASS DEVTYPE=3590 FORMAT=DRIVE
MOUNTLIMIT=DRIVES
Dave,
I believe the dsm.sys file is only read at the time you start the
scheduler.

How quickly does dsmreconcile run and do you already have files in migrated
