could work. What should I do if I use client acceptor and it starts the

I have 2 "3583" library with "3580 LTO" drives on them. I am
confused about firmwares. Do firmwares coming with "appcode.exe"
include FMR firmwares for the drives or do they include only library firmware?
I can easily update library firmare with serial cable as "download -C1

I am new to offsite backup concept. of TSM. Recent , I
copied the primary storage pool to a copy storage pool. Then
I made access offsite to these volumes belonging to copy pool.
Last I checked-out them. Next day (just to try) I checked-in the offsite

Hi,
I think you shouldnt test anything on 5.1.6.1. We had some problems on it like
crashes randomly.

yes today i upgraded from 4.2.2.13 to 4.2.3.0
i am having problems with backupsets. ibm will look for the cause

it can be because you fill very little part of the tape every day and as the
days pass,
other files on the tape is expired.

please do not assume that every body gets the 5.1.5.0 cd (base level). if you
have it with original cds:yes it is base level.i also used it and installed
from scratch.
but i do not thing that it can be installed from a downloaded maintenance
package

most of those problems we had on 3583 library were due to magazines. after
firmware upgrade and
changing of magazines to "Revision B" everything went ok.

no when you do not expiration you db grows but the log may grow with un-backed
up
databasr. try to backup your database more frequently or increase your db. or
you may change your
log type.

is it on windows nt. i get rarely this kind of error on windows nt. it is
usually caused by nt itself.
so please check file system. you will probably not able to access file as an
administrator too.
