I recently upgraded our Linux 5.5.3 server to 5.5.4.1.
Since then, I have had numerous sleepless nights due to being called about
the log consumption rising to above 90% and being pinned.
I narrowed the problem down to a Oracle TDP backup pinning the log.
I did some quick Googling (at 3am) and
lease check the TSM Error Log for any additional information

created on the AV management server that excludes these as well as my adsm.sys

open the client gui, utilities, setup wizard, choose open file support,
then choose "help me configure open file support" then choose to Remove
the TSM logical volume snapshot agent. It may ask you to reboot the
machine but doesn't need to happen immeadiately

Simply perform Google search (* other search engines are available) with the
error number you received and the top hit instructs you how to remove it:

Oh, gorgeous.

Does this new tool require a certain lib microcode level? The web page
doesn't really give requirements. When I try the new cli all I get is:
Using session ID 163754050
Performing web login ...
It gets this whether I use a good id/pwd or a bogus one.

backup stgpool primarystgpool toanycopystgpool... I just do not see the
purpose of defining it on the primary stgpool

I recently migrated about 5TB of data off of a VirtualVolume/Server based
pool to a normal tape pool.
- TSM 5.5.4 on AIX
- The Storage pools are all set to 0 days (for volume reuse)
- "expire inv"'s were run on both servers
- The volumes aren't present on the source server anymore

You only use that when you want to use a feature of TSM, where it lets you
write simultaneously to both pools.
Check out "help upd stg" under the section "COPYSTGpools"

We have confirmed a defect in the TSM Linux client that can cause this

Hi Xav,
If you look in the redbook of TSM 6.1 then can you read more about DB2.
In DB2 do you have Active-Passive cluster function that you can use and is
supported by IBM.
