Hi List
With my current version of TSM (5.1.6.3), I know that I can copy from
storage pool to copy storage pool using as many processes as required
making it multi threaded..
In later versions of TSM (or perhaps in the future)... does anyone know
whether it is / will be possible to perform
Robert,
Yes, that's how I've done it. Works fine. You can also have multiple
migration processes running, if you have the resources. The downside is
that migration is by node, so tapes won't be emptied individually, but all
data for a node will be moved, then another node, then another node. If

Dear Developer,
In the readme's of the clients there is no requirements anymore for a
base-level installation of the client.
Does that mean it's always safe to install a patch-release of a client
without the maintenance release?
Thanks in advance,
Maurice van 't Loo

The TSM 5.3 Technical Guide redbook touches on this, and refers
to further information in the Admin Guide, topic
"Consolidating Multiple Clients under a Single Client Node Name".
The client manual discusses the proxy support.

We also just did a 5.1 to 5.3 upgrade.
Be sure to read the README file with v5.3 release. Pay special attention

Hi:
We are looking at upgrading one of our 3584 libraries to all LTO2 drives
(we currently have a mix of LTO1 and LTO2 drives) and use a mixture of
LTO1 and LTO2 media (we currently only use LTO1 media).
The admin guide states:

to do but that seems to contradict the admin guide statement below:
