Hi all,
I am using TSM Extended Edition ver 5.2 and SDLT3607 Tape Autoloader through
SCSI cable. Now, I want to move whole data was backup to the new library
4560SLX. I will use Optical cable to connect 4560SLX to TSM server.
Can I connect 2 libraries with a TSM server at the same time to move
I did the same thing:
3583 connected via SCSI
Scalar i2000 conencted via fibre
And moved the data from old 3583 to the new Scalar, worked a treat but time
consuming

Yes, you can as long as TSM supports those libr. There are more than one way to
do it. Consider creating a new stgpool with destination tape libr and migrate
to it using stg hierarchy using 'NEXT' parameter with DEF LIBR or UPD LIBR.

Hello everyone!
I have the following command running to see how much data is backed
up/server each day. I was wondering if it is possible to take the start &
end time and figure out the amount of time it took to backup each server?
It seems like it should be rather simple, but yet I am not sure o
Try this. One thing might not work is if the backup spans over 24 hours,

Just upgraded to tsm v5.2.0, ran fine. Applied v5.2.4.0 maintenance, and got
the following error at server startup. Any ideas?

Hello everyone!
I was wondering if it is possible to create a script with the following 2
commands:
SCRIPT: BA_STG_DEC
ba stg dec dec-copy wait=yes
ba stg dec-tape dec-copy
Is it possible to use the wait=yes parameter? It states that you cannot
use it from a server console and I wanted to make
Yes. I use it in my maintenance scripts. Works well.

So, when do you folks get to figuring that a given filespace is unwieldy from

Not in my experience. To get that to happen you have to delete the node or
the filespace. There is no direct association between a primary volume and a
copy
By doing a query of the activity log for event ANE4964I the information you
seek should be available. I do a query like this every day and get the
results below:
q actlog begint=-24 search=ANE4964I

I am running TSM 5.2.2 on my AS/400 , iSeries, i5 running V5R3M0 of
OS/400. TSM 5.2.2 on OS/400 runs under PASE.
I was looking at a ptf cover letter at:

Ok, I am a little lost.
We did restores of Exchange 5.5 Ok. Now I need to restore an Exchange
2003 mail store to a different exchange 2003 server. Does anyone have a
cookbook (or even a nice way to say RTFM and I will be glad to read the
fine manual, but what I have read sofar, leaves me cold.)

Right you are, Andy. That is indeed what should happen.
