Your question relates not just to active and expired versions, but also to
inactive versions that are not expired (depending on the number of
versions you keep).
For active backup versions:
- the STATE column is ACTIVE_VERSION
- the DEACTIVATE_DATE is null
For inactive (but not expired) versions:
I'm not convinced the archive attribute is the problem. If you look up the
ANS1301E message, you will see it is apprising you of a problem on your
TSM server, which is almost certainly not related to the archive
attribute.

When we still used out 3583 library TSM reported the full label, ie: all
8 characters. Now that we're using an ADIC 1sk TSM reports only the 1st

NetWorker to backup the Notes databases, but have not been able to reap
the benefits of Point in Time restores. The recovery using Txn logs takes
a very unacceptably long time, to that we have resigned to doing Full

We are currently not using the archive feature of TSM.
I would like to know if I can run a SQL command that will tell me if
anyone has archived files/directories. In addition, how can I disable the
archive feature from running?

Is there a specific reason why you need an SQL command? If you just want
to know who has any archived data, QUERY OCCUPANCY will show it to you.
