Yes, I do know that and I have them doing that - they can also go by the
backup date as the modified date would be the same date or the day before.
However, when performing larger restores or working with a customer to
determine which file they want, it can be confusing and time consuming for
them.

Can you write to the tape drive with tar? If so the problem may be with the
mksysb utility itself. I have seen the mksysb utility fail before because
someone had deleted the symbolic link to the kernel. This in turn caused the

I use Win2K SP4 and RAM 1GB. I set virtual memory about 1.5 GB and I don't
think that "the 2841 message" is cause.
