Hi
Well the quest for lan free backups continues
I got past my initial problems by upgrading storage agent to 5.1.5.4 (same
level as server)
Yesterday I managed to run an image backup lan free, 150Gb in 1hr 15 minutes
so was quite happy with that. However when I went to restore it 5 minutes
Hi Lan,
Some questions : which O.S. and which Oslevel are you trying to install

Hi Stephen!
When using Oracle 8.1.7 you will have to relink RMAN with TDPO. This
procedure can be found in the manual. For your convenience, here's the

It is there. One thing that I am thinking is my problem is that on the oracle server
there is no baclient or tdp. We have both installed on the centralized rman server.

Look up the reference info for DELETE FILESPACE (HELP DEL FI will work

Hi Zlatko,
the whole environment was w2k, and the HBA was a LP9802 not a LP9002, sorry,
I was well aware of the problem with the MaximumSGList, but I thought since I'm

Thank you very much. This is the perfect kind of help. Just point me to the correct

Glad that helped.
Sure, I could have just said, "use nametype=unicode" (or "nametype=fsid")
But I'm a big believer in the latter part of "give a man a fish, feed him

Hi,
I am using a scheduler service to run the backup daily. The TSM resides on

It isn't clear if you want to back up files on e: or g:.
Assuming you mean to back up everything under e:\dir2, you could do this:

include e:\dir2\...\*
Note that this will also back up other directories (but not files) on e:.
