Greetings! If you installed TSM 5.1.5.0, the code from the ftp site. The code will work for about 60-90 days. After this time in the actlog there will be a message about the code not being license. To get the license code. You have to buy TSM 5.1.0.0 and then install just the license fileset(s)

Hi Eric, We did some tests on Windows XP (not 2000). When we did an incremental backup on a system without a DOMAIN statement in dsm.opt a file space of the type "SYSTEM OBJECT" would appear on the TSM server for this node. So I think one can assume that the system object is included by default.

Microsoft does not support the "system state" concept on Windows NT 4.0, and so TSM can't support it, either. Assuming that you are not excluding it with a DOMAIN statement, then yes. The ALL-LOCAL domain includes your local drives and SYSTEMOBJECT, so if the domain is ALL-LOCAL, then DSMC INCREMENTAL will back up your local drives as well as the system objects.
