I seem to remember that upon upgrading the client code from 3.1 to 3.7, that the default entered by the installation for MAXNUMMP was "unlimited"- which is not correctly interpreted as 999, which is what I ended up changing the value to. |+> ||

This is normal, healthy, working as designed behaviour. What is happening is that the TSM server is being queried to verify that the file does not exist on the TSM server before it sends it there for backup. I believe this message is suppressed or otherwise non-existent in the latest version of

I am interested to know if anyone is using TSM to backup Groupwise running on Novell Netware. If you are backing up Groupwise, are you using the standard TSM backup/archive client and are there any issues regarding recovery if you do the backups while the mail system is up?

Yes, you sound lost! I strongly recommend before proceeding much further that you consider a TSM class. TSM is similar to CAM in the sense that you use Stager disk in both. But from there the similarities end and TSM is completely different beast. Your frustration level is going to increase dram
