Hi Geoff,
Have a look in your dsmerror.log file to see if there's anything there.
Use QUERY EVENT with F=D to see the results of the event plus the result
code (should be 0, 4, 8, or 12). Also, use QUERY FILESPACE to make sure
the completion timestamp matches the SELECT output. Less likely, but wo

Hi Tq,
You need to make sure your script exits with return code 0. For example,
instead of using
exit
use
exit 0
Since the operation of any script is unknown to TSM, it can only detect
"success or fail" status. This is why for schedules wh

Hi TSMer,
TSM Server AIX 5.2
TSM Server Ver 5.3.0
Client 5.3.4 (windows)
I have a question on these matters.
I perform selective backup on TSM Client and exclude some files.
I got backup status Failed 4 even though no error encountered.

At different times during the night Operations verifies the status of
backups using the TSM web interface. For t

Also here is a question as it relates to how the 5.2 web interface displays
the backup status. For those servers that show "In Progress" some never
revert to Completed. Can anyone explain the reason for this anomaly?

Hi,
Currently we run a mixture of System and Oracle backups on our servers

I would appreciate hearing from any of you that run the TSM server on
OS/390. How are you handling notification of client backup status? I am
thinking of trying to use Netview for this? Anyone already doing so? Tips?
Anyone handling this in another manner?

Hi TSM-ers,
we backup our SAP servers (online) using TDP for SAP R/3.
Yesterday our backup cancelled due to networking problems.
Unfortunately all tablespaces remained in status BEGIN BACKUP.
Is there a way to ensure that all tablespaces are reset to END BACKUP
even when the backup fails?
