I just did an export node on TSM 5.5.1, and the cloptset came over with the client. You can see it get defined on the target server. Don't know when that feature was added, but it's cool! On Thu, Sep 11, 2008 at 2:06 AM, Remco Post <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: > You'll have to define them manuall

You'll have to define them manually, or make some intresting sql selects that generate define commands for your storagepools. Also, if you have them, you'll have to do the same for cloptsets (I think). You can forget about volhistory, there is just no way. On 11 sep 2008, at 00:46, Richard wrote

I ran the following commands: export server toserver=NASCTSM filedata=all export server toserver=NASCTSM fromdate=10/02/2002 filedata=all mergefilespaces=yes I get everything except the storage pools and volhistory. Is there another way to get this information over to my new server? Thanks, Ri

Thanks for your responses! None of the storage pools definitions came across. For the import / export I'm connecting over the network. When I did the DB backup, I was able to read the tape. This is what I was getting trying to do a DB restore: ANR8328I 001: LTO volume 000431L3 mounted in drive

I did a full DB backup on my old AIX server. I tried to restore this DB backup on Linux, but it doesn't work. IBM says this is not supported. They told me to do a server export / import. I setup a server to server export / import but I can't seem to get my storage pools and volhistory to come a
