Actually, the tape will go into error often after the tape is inserted into the drive and validated and checked. The error "seems" to occur while the tape is being place by the gripper back onto the rack. I have even had the same error occur to abend the service yet still check the tape in corre

Larry, This probably does not apply to you, but on our system I have to do a MOVE DRM TOSTATE=ONSITERETRIEVE before running a CHECKIN. Our setup, TSM 3.7.2, NT, and an ATL P3000 library, are not the norm, and we have been told that we will have to do more weird things tham most other locations. G
