Matt,
Exactly what command are you using to perform this restore - and is it a
subdirectory in a filesystem with lots of other directories? Are you
witnessing any substantial 'thinking time' before
Yup, we have
fsize = -1
cpu = -1
data = -1
rss = -1
stack = -1
nofiles = -1
for root, ulimit -a gives;
time(seconds)unlimited
file(blocks) unlimited
data(kbytes) unlimited
stack(kbytes)unlimited
memory(kbytes) unlimited
coredump(blocks)
.

Matt - Do 'ulimit -a' in the process C shell (or equivalent command in another shell)
to fully assure that your virtual storage is unlimited, as you believe.
If system virtual storage were actually exhausted, you'd be seeing a lot of surrounding
What if you move the restored files to a temporary location, then resume
the restore?
Not sure why the problem is there, but that would hopefully get you past
it.
