We run journaling on all data drives by default for Windows, and rely on the
monthly patch reboot to give us a periodic non-journal backup.

It is enough to restart journal service periodically maybe by schedule. After
restarting it TSM Client scans all files. I think it is easier than run special
type of backups. We are using journal backup for all Windows servers without
any problems and very seldom full scans.

system to two TSM-Servers? I'm able to set up multiple Journal Services, but
as much as I know over TSM Journaled Based Backup it's not recommended to
have multiple journal services runn

lets make it clear - is journal backup feature only available in Windows
or I am missing something.
If I am not wrong Peter posted in the beginning that is talking about AIX
boxes, so journaling TSM feature is not available there.
