As I recall it was very useful.
It is still referenced many places on the support site, it used to be

I got effectively knocked off the ADSM-L mailing list about 13 months ago as
mail incoming from Marist sputtered then ceased. Thereafter, no email commands
to their Listserv resulted in a response. W

Version 3 was interesting wrt naming, for depending where you looked,
IBM/Tivoli called it ADSM, Tivoli ADSM, Tivoli ADSTARĀ® Distributed
Storage Manager, and Tivoli Storage Manager. Some of those names may be
