We have spent the better part of this week trying to export a node from one
server to another. It is constantly failing with server lock issues,
requiring us to restart it. Then when it finishes, there are lots of
"objects that are part of incomplete groups" being deleted when it
finishes?

On server one we run everyday the "del volh type=all" command

It's much faster than using server-to-server communication, because with
server-to-server, you have to transmit the data via TCP-IP.
The only reason you MUST use server-to-server for export/import, is if you
have no compatible media that both servers can read/write.

Basically we had a period where archive data was going to the wrong storage
pools. The archive copygroup setting has now been fixed but I have archive
data that I want to move to the archive storage pools. To get the archive

It's OS/390 V2R9. The LPAR has GIGABIT Ethernet, so throughput should be

probably your network interface... or TCP/IP configuration on MVS
lots of tuning is required under MVS to get TSM to run well...
and it still won't run as good as on a healthy IBM S70 AIX machine...
we got rid of our two MVS
