No, but your TSM administrator should be able to configure an
include-exclude file in dsm.sys (see the INCLEXCL option in the client
manual).
Considering the ramifications of modifying Include-exclude options,

Hi,
I am running a tsm client on Solaris. When I execute the dsmc command to
backup a group of directories and the files they contain is there a way
to include pathnames that have been excluded by an exclude entry in a
file specified by the inclexcl option?
Thanks

You don't say which version of TSM you are using, but if it is anywhere near
recent, and you want to exclude the entire file system then I would say

is this the right syntax for excluding a filesystem?
exclude/.../unix/../
exclude/.../core/../
exclude/.../.SpaceMan/.../*
exclude.fs /.../u01/.../*
exclude.fs /.../u02/.../*
exclude.fs /.../u03/.../
exclude.fs
exclude.fs won't handle the wildcard. You have to be specific with the
filesystem names.

Hi' there !
I have a problem with the exclude stmt. i'am running ADSM 3.1.2.58 under
AIX 4.2.1.
But when i write the following in the include/exclude file, ADSM is running
backup off
the filesystem anyway. Does anyone know how i can get around that:
exclude.fs /base*
The filesystem name is:

"Place this option in the include-exclude options file
or the client system options file (
Howcome on some systems I can throw lots of options in the .opt file but
more recently Ive noticed some systems I cant. specifically I have two AIX
4.3.3 boxes running TSM 3.7.2 and 3.7.0.. Initially I put my include/exclude
statements in the dsm.opt file but when I run dsmc it complains that it
