Hi!
This is probaly not an itsm-issue, but anyway..:
both tsm-servers, 5.3.4, running on the same P650, AIX5.3-box.
Shared memory is used (lo0), but performance is useless. (about 140KB/sek on
average, 70KB in, 70KB out)
This used to work fine on our old S7A, the numbers where usually 100MB/s

Tom -
To factors which come to mind are:
- Lack of collocation can make for a lot of tape repositioning,
which, depending upon your tape technology, can be painful.
- I know from experience, watching reclamations, that tapes which
have been sitting unused for long periods of time (years)
Hi!
Both source ant target-servers are 5.3.2.0, running on the same P650 machine,
AIX 5.3.0.0
I only get around 35-50 KB/s, and that is useless...
When exporting to tape from the target-server, the export runs at 20-30 MB/s,
and about the same when importing from the tape to the source-server.

question is still open, since our OS390 TSM server is at V5.1.1.6
level.
Ted - I'd say, have a look at the Readme file that you have for that
level.

The Readme files supplied with the maintenance levels describe new
features added by those in-between-releases software updates. The

Hi folks,
I'm in the process of converting from TSM V5.1 on OS/390 to TSM V5.2 on
Windows.
The Admin Ref. For V5.2 lists the TOSserver= option for the EXPort Node
command. This option is not listed in the V5.1 documentation. Just to
be perverse, I tried the TOServer= option on the V5.1 server
