Many thanks Del,
although it is a little poor information for our Exchange admin :-). I gues
that only way is to do complete Exchange restore on separate machine into

As far as I know, this output format was since 5.2.2 version, by my archive
logs (maybe since 5.2.1, but I am not sure that). No other stgpool output
format is possible, as I know. But I didnt found any note nor in PDF doc
neither in readme's about it.

Hi Sam,
you only have to set the same NODENAME in dsm.opt on alternate SQL server
(TDP client) to match original TDP SQL nodename, so TDP client will logon as
original TDP node. Then you can see backups from this SQL server in Restore
tab and, of course, you can do restores too. I did it this way
Hi Muhammad,
you have to switch your Oracle database to ARCHIVELOG mode if you want to do
backups with TDP Oracle. In this mode, all transactions made in database are
written into archive redolog files, which are cumulated at given place.
During online backup of Oracle DB (with TDP Oracle) it is s

Another goal is that this product is very expensive (as I find out) and the
customer decided not to use it for backup, because they plan to migrate this
system to Oracle in 6 months.

Hi Wieslaw,
I saw my type of errors but it is different. APAR IC35508 you mentioned
relates to error "Physical end of media encountered" as wrote in APAR:
ANR8302E I/O error on drive LIB (/dev/mt2) (OP=WRITE,
Error Number=5, CC=400, KEY=4D, ASC=00, ASCQ=02,

Drive FW 25D4, library 2.80.41 (I think).

You are not completely right unavailable is not valid access for copy
pool volumes (only for primary pool volumes), you have to use offsite
access.
All other is OK :-))

Gerhardt,
sending of incorrect filesize obviously happens (by my experiences) when
commpression is turned on and compressed file grows up to original file. Try
to use no compression or COMPRESSALWAYS NO to avoid bad file size prediction

I hadn't found any such timeout value

Hi Marc,
try to check high migration percent (HMP) of diskool, maybe it's too high -
large files comes over directly to tape when diskpool is near to fullfilling
without starting migration of diskpool - then backup time of your tape pool
