I have worked on servers with 150GB databases reduced down to 50% utilization
after several large filespace deletions. We could not recover any space on the
database and it continued to fill until it eve
Hi Farren
TSM will still list the data on the old 3590 pool as you can have multiple copy
pools.
Once you have deleted the data on the 3590 vols they should disappear from the
DRM plan.

Hi Lisa
The only way I can think of would be to stop the SQL services and then backup
the files up with the BA client. You may need to use an old version of the BA
client though, as I've read reports that the 5.5 client excludes mdf and ldf
files regardless of any includes in the dsm.opt file.
Depending on you version of TSM this should work

If you use TSM operational reporting, then you need to install an older version
of the TSM Management console such as 5.5.0.3, otherwise it will fail to
generate any reports.
I would not consider this a major bug, more of an annoyance.

Try running Ops reporting on your test server ;)
It fails immediately when you run any report, due to a spelling mistake in the
language query !
Other than that we have been running it for two days without any problem on
Windows.

more question, I assume the state of the scheduler on either of the actual
cluster nodes should be set to manual?
Thanks

Hi Farren
Both of servers in the cluster will have a utility called Cluster
administrator, you must use this to start and stop the TSM scheduler services
for the backups on the clustered drives, if you stop them via computer manager
(services.msc) then you could cause the cluster to fail to
It sounds like they upgraded the client while the scheduler services were
running.
What I think you need to do is stop the TSM services on that node, then copy
the tdpdenu.txt file from the c:\tsm_images\TSM for Mail 5416\domino folder
into the domino TDP folder.
You may also have to do the

As for the maximum number of TSM servers, I have yet to reach that, but I
currently have 30 TSM servers on a site that are monitored via TSM ops
reporting.

Problem is that most of the users do not have permission to change their IE
settings.
We do have a proxy server but the IP address range of the clients are excluded.
I did try with the proxy settings removed and received the same error on my
workstation.

We are experiencing problems with upgrading clients from 5.3 to 5.4, every

I have not heard of any problems with 5.3 clients connected to a 5.2 server.

I cannot think of a server side setting for this, but you could create or add
