Do you mean you can't see them through the GUI? Try running a query from
the command line on the file you needeg.
domdsmc q dbbackup /adsmnode=
/adsmpwd= /inact
This will list all backup versions of the file you are looking for. If it
doesn't show there then your in trouble.

If you rename the node in TSM this will simply force a new full backup to
which subsequent transaction log archives will be associated with. The
transaction logs from the old backups remain until the databases to which
they are associated expire. You need to run regular INACTIVATELOGS

With this specific restore...around 200 logs were applied before it
required the logs I had on disk...so as soon as I started the log
restoreI then copied the logs into the specified restore folder. By
the time the restore needed the logs that were on disk, everything had
already been copied a
The API appeared to pick these logs up from the restore folder
automatically, I didn't do anything differently except copy the log files
after the applylogs command was issued.
The log files were read and then deleted from the restore folder after
they were applied...one by one. So it is important

copy these log extents into the folder after issuing the applylogs

I guess your reclaiming tapes from an offsite pool. Do you run a select
statement first? Query which tapes you'll need to reclaim from a certain
percentage of reclaimable space.

Check the activity log to see if a volume is requested that may not be
available to the server. Either it's marked as unavailable (check by
doing a q vol ** f=d) or the tape is still offsite.

I have a couple of clients here, which I am running a scheduled
incremental from the client scheduler service, but appears to ignore the
options file and the include/exclude statements within it. However when
I attempt an incremental from the client itself, the backup seems to work
as intended.
I'm sure this was just covered here, so apologies that I missed it, but
can I create a backupset process for more than one client at a time and/or
can I specify that it is written to one specfic scratch tape?

Sometimes we find that moving data off the diskpool can fail if your having
difficulties with one of your drives. Check the activity log over the last
few days for any drive errors.
