I kinda had the same issues, only 6 tape drives & 250Gb of diskpool

What I did, which works for us, is all the Exchange & SQL jobs go direct

I had a similar problem, turned out to be the Qlogic card.
The machine had happily worked away with the same config for ages, then
started throwing anr errors. There was no indication in Windows or
the Dell logs of any problem, only in TSM. Turned out to be the Qlogic
card, updating the driver
as we're looking at migrating from a "wintel" based TSM system to a AIX +
pSeries based TSM system, I'd be very interested in any responses to this
thread as well. Although the OS's & hardware are different I'm interested in

I suspect backing up 200Gb of data to a single 20Gb disk which is
concurrently migrating the incoming data is perhaps a bit optimistic.
You have 1x 20Gb disk, is it IDE or SCSI? Can you add more disks/faster
disks?

I'm in a similar situation where my primary stg diskpool is not big
enough to contain a nights backups. I have the migration set to hi=0
lo=0. This means it's constantly migrating but I've 6 dedicated lto2
tape drives so isn't an issue for me.

email our IBM account manager because the doucument is incorrect. Not that IBM
seemed particularly interested, they did say they would correct the document
but as far as I can tell, there isn't a corrected version out
I believe if you stop TSM, then start tsm again in the foreground from a
cmd prompt using dsmserv you can change the admin account that way
