Subject: Re: Question on del volhist
This was not my observation, but rather
.
Would an empty scratch tape only be tracked by volhistory entries ?
(Where else would you find an entry for an empty scratch ?)
P.S. Sorry for inadvertently replying to Kelly instead of the listserv.

0. (We have a mgmt class set up for the DB2 backups and logs). If you
archive your logs to ADSM, then you will also have to use db2adutl to flag
them for deletion.

What about a del vol with the discarddata parameter set to yes ? This
should erase the reference to any files thought to be stored on the offline
volume(s).

Hope this may help,

Hi,
Try the mtlib command:
mtlib -l/dev/lmcp0 -t10 -qL
where your library device is /dev/lmcp0. Show you lots of good stuff.
Good luck,

Hello Adsmers
When doing a backup stgpool, what logic is used by TSM to determine the
sequence of objects copied to the backup pool ?
Is there any way to change the order ?
Does it look through the database alphabetically, by timestamp , or by
some other order ?
Thanks,
Glenn
