DON'T omit the negative sign preceding the $1 and $2!

Unless you want to try your hand at REXX programming, or getting heavily

multi-record ''sed'', I'd suggest that you invoke the administrative
command line client like this:
dsmadmc -comma
You will have to type the admin name and password as usual.
All of the output from any command(s) will

Sorry, that's what I get for trying to respond from home.
You want to get a copy of libdm.so, not libdm.so.1, and it's
from the package "eoe.sw.dmi".(at IRIX 6.5.x{f,m}).

/root/lib... or /root/usr/lib... to /lib, and you ought to be set
to go.

you get the root partition restored, presumably you can exit the miniroot
and boot the system for real, then restore anything else you need to
other filespaces (disks/partitions/logical volumes, etc.).
*If you're using ADSM, the path will be /usr/adsm.

original volume is returned to the scratch tape pool and the READONLY
attribute becomes irrelevant, as the scratch volume should be marked
READWRITE if it is returned to the storage pool.
This might not be the answer to your problem, but you could try it,
probably without any ill effect.
