Why is it the tape utilization (q vol) hits more than
400GB even though the tape can actually utilize about
400GB (compressed)? Why is this happening? Will the
data in the tape still recovarable?

Has anyone got any idea whether it is possible to
execute dsmadmc with non-root id?
Operators can use web-admin and access using specific
web-admin id. What if the web is 'down' and only
access is telnet? Operator has to telnet but uses
'root' id and then dsmadmc to access the tsm server

Anyone heard of Redisafe (www.redisafe.com or
www.graphiumsoftware.com) software? They claim to be
'simple/quick' in backup/recovery.
What do you think would be the comparison between TSM
and Redisafe?
Need your comments ASAP to counter this product.

Hi all,
Need help on this ASAP.
It is like this. This customer has bought a Windows NT
4 SP4 (Netfinity3500) a while ago with HP400ex optical
library (2 drives) attached to it via SCSI.
They have a software, Domino.doc Storage Manager 2.1
that runs on it. They ask me to make it work together.
