Hi Neil, What if there are 2 instances of Oracle? Will there be 2 password in the registry too?

Therefore, the password is encrypted and stored in the registry. Have you generated a password before? In your dsm.opt file makesure that passwordaccess is set to generate and use 'tdpoconf passw' to create a password in the registry.
