TSM 5.1 on Windows 2K server with Overland Neo 4100 LTO2. Windows, unix,
mac clients.
We nfs mount OS X workspaces onto our Linux fileserver, and back them up
from there. We do that because, frankly, the TSM OS X scheduler is
terrible. And since there is no command line for the TSM OS X client, we
Got it working, thanks. If my table is called "Last Completed Backup", it
doesn't work. If it's called "Last Backup", it does work. Maybe some kind
of character limit on the table name? Oh well, thanks for the help.

I've got a tsm script which works fine, but I only want the date from
backup_end table, not the time. Anyone know how to get the date only from
backup_end? The time on it is not needed and adds to much clutter to the
email. I can do it in perl, but there must be some way to do it in sql,

We've got TSM 5.1.6.5 server on Windows 2K server. It's been running
great, most clients are backing up just fine, except for a Mac OSX client

The Mac is: G4 v3.3 1.4GHz, 2GB RAM, OSX 10.2.6(6L60), darwin kernel

We recently aquired an Overland Storage Neo 4100, with 2 X LTO2 drives
(200-400GB cap.) with tape capacity of 60. It is so nice and sweet. The
LCD display even had a small problem and they came out and fixed it in
less than 24 hours. I'm so happy.

Hi,
TSM 5.1.6.5 on windows 2K server. I'm trying to make a command script that
will tell me how many filespaces have a BACKUP_END greater than 1 day.
Then I want it to email those results to me. That way if a client stops
backing up I'll get an email about it and go fix it. The emailing can be

We just got TSM 5.1.6.5 running on Windows 2K server. Server configured
and started a couple of weeks ago and it has been running great. I've been
backing up clients, getting all the data on the server, so far so good,
until an hour ago.
I was backing up 3-4 clients at a time, when all of a sudden
Got it. The correct command is:
del file blahblah \\blahblah\c$ nametype=unicode

Hi,
TSM 5.1.6.5 on Windows 2000 Server. Just testing out the new server making
sure everything works, but I have a problem deleting filespaces on the
command line. I use the command:
tsm>del file BLAHBLAH \\blahblah\c$ type=any
This command worked great for me with ADSM 3.1. But now it doesn't w
I have not, but thanks for mentioning that. What worked is the label
libvol command which Hunny mentioned in a previous post.
However, should I disable RSM anyway? I've looked into it a bit, and I'd
prefer not to run that service if I don't need it. Especially if it might
get in the way, and from
We are setting up the following new equipment: TSM 5.1 running on Windows
2000 Server (SP4). The server version is 5.1.6.5127. The server runs
just fine. We also have a tape library attached: Overland Storage Neo

tapes. The tape
We are installing a new TSM server. During setup, we recently determined
that with the hardware we have, we have to move our platform for TSM 5.1
from RedHat Linux 7.2 to Windows 2K Server. One of the downfalls I see in
that is that Linux supports channel bonding, but Windows doesn't.
Is this true
I've got a TSM related question, but the question is really about NTFS
time stamps (creation date) for folders. The reason I'm asking this
newsgroup is because the only product out there that has the capability
I'm looking for is TSM.
What I need to be able to do is move/copy files and folders in
