I'm not sure I understand the question based on the described symptom. I would expect to see ANS1497W if you have INCLUDE or EXCLUDE statements with duplicate file specs. In this case, INCLEXCL 3 and 4 have identical file specs, so you got the message. While there is no deterministic method for id

1- you are right, when you use TSM archives (rather than backup sets), you can more easily migrate your data from one tape to another, you can even retrieve the data if you even need to move away from TSM (though 10 years worth of quarterly backups might be a lot of data by then). 2- 10 != 25 :) 3
