Look at the SUMMARY table (for use with a TSM SELECT).
To see what is in there, enter:

There is an entry with the start/end time for each tape mount.

Ditto.
To start, set up the TSM Operational Reporter (TOR).
It is free as part of the product.
It works real well right out of the box, but can also be customized to
do some clever things.
If your TSM folks are running a non-Windows TSM server, they may not be
familiar with it, as it is a Windo

Have you looked at RESOURCETIMEOUT?

The setup: TSM servers are ver 5.3.2.0, running on AIX. The situation in
question involves one TSM server instance that the client backs up to, and
a TSM server instance acting as a library manager for a virtual tape
library.
The client (ver 5.3.2.0) is LAN-free, and doing an rman backup of an Ora

You could try pointing your web browser to the TCP/IP address of the
library and use the gui there to find the physical count of empty slots
then check against TSM and see if there is a mismatch, and if so, try
running audit library

Hi,
there are many ways to skin this cat.
I would suggest to start with the TSM Management Console (a Windows MMC)
and use the Operationg Reporting Tool.
With this tool you can generate reports of missed and failed schedules
and a lot of other things.
Example:

AFAIK you can optionally use AD to help your TSM clients resolve name of TSM

As you ask the question below I must asume you do not use this feature,
so you have to take care about your OPT files - to point to correct TSM server

Btw. I do NOT join TSM Server into AD,
