Greetings,
This will seem like an odd question, but can anybody tell me how to
calculate the relative impact of tape drives on the performance of the TSM
server?
With real tape drives, a TSM server (in my case, AIX) doesn't have
to worry about large numbers of real drives, because i
Just wanted to share boost in performance we've had at our site. We run
ITSM on an [old] pSeries 6M1 machine running AIX 5.2.0.6 and ITSM

We recently installed the IBM SVC product on our SAN. On the backend
we have IBM DS4100's, IBM DS4300's and an IBM DS8000. The DS8000 has

Hi Everybody,
Is it possible to determine the compression ratio of a database backed up using
RMAN to TSM ? I would like to see some stats for the backup size of the
database when having compression enabled or disabled on the client.

Hi,
PreschedCMD starts a program, not a plain file.
The last line in OPT file should be:
Preschedulecmd "C:\WINNT\SYSTEM32\cmd.exe /C
D:\Hyperion\Export\Scripts\EssExport_Schedule.bat"
Note, the TSM must be told which program is to be started,
in my environment the line would be:

I will try to re-produce the error before I open a call with IBM. But

Hi,
Can anybody tell me why the next preschedulecmd is not exectuted ?
I have no idea what can be wrong.
Backup finishes ok, but preschedulecmd has not been executed and
there is no trace at all from the preschedulecmd in the dsmsched.log or
dsmerror.log
The 'scheduler' service was restarted bef
