I have one question about data expiration for which I can not find clear
answer in doc.
When I have lets say 30GB of Domino databases and I set up backup policy
to have two versions of data.
I backup databases every day and all databases are changing daily (so all
databases are backed up
I am running the 5.2.0.1 client (from
ftp://service.boulder.ibm.com/storage/tivoli-storage-management/patches/client/v5r2/Windows/Win32/v520/)
- have not had any problems.

Machine #1. My personal machine seems to work fine. I installed everything
but the SDK stuff. Ran a complete backup. No problems.

On the documentation it says that
1. reinstall w2k
2. install same service pack
3. same computer name and proper network driver
4. install tsm client
5. restore c
6. restore system objects

Nobody has replied yet, I have some experience but not 64 bit
AIX5.1 or Oracle 9.2. But, have you tried running
"tdpoconf showenv" on system that doesn't work and see if output
looks normal? If it doesn't, most likely need to correct config.
Also look at TDPO log files on client for more info.

chdev -l rmt0 -a new_name=rmt10
Then I changed rmt2 (which had the ww name that rmt0 needed) to rmt0.
So I just ended up having to 'bounce' the names around until I could get the
/dev/rmtx devices to the ww_name I wanted

That's done in the HBA device driver. Take a look in that manual for
"persistent binding." For example, with Emulex drivers, you'd set your
persistent binding settings in the /etc/lpfc.conf file.

We are encountering "issues" while attempting to get our Oracle 920 databases to
backup to a TSM 5162 server using a TSM 5158 API client, TDP 515, AIX 513 w/ 64 bit
kernal. Also, we had no previous trouble getting the 920 databases to backup using a
32 bit kernal on AIX513.

A long, long time ago in a galaxy far, far away I wrote a bash shell
script to do a daily query of the activity log to extract tape mounts
and same them to a history file that could be used by perl to see how
long the tape has been in use and how many times it has been mounted.

Using TSMManager and saw some output from TSM Operational Reporting. Not too
sure if TSM Operational Reporting will replace TSMManager. Have to do some
testing when it is released.
