The best method is to do different types of DB backups to tape and disk. For example, do DB snapshot to tape and do DB full to disk. That way if you want to just delete the DB backups on disk you can do type=DBFULL in your del volhist command, this won't affect the tape (type=DBS) backups. __

This setup is at one of my customer accounts. Server free in this case is going directly to LTO tape. To backup server less to disk, which doesn't make a whole lot of sense to me, would be to use Tivoli Sanergy. Typically I have seen LAN-free go to a disk pool, but not using server less. -- Jos
