Dale, Please contact your Tivoli Account Rep and tell them everything you are feeling.
If more people do this, then hopefully the development folk will get the message, understand the pain and provide more frequent updated supported kernels. BTW, I think the longer term strategy will be RHAS - which does make sense, since it has a longer life cycle than the workstation versions. I too have TSM running on a RH 7.3 system - but I'm using the RH72 kernel so that I can load the TSM device driver and talk to some tape hardware. If you just want to run TSM with disk or file pools, than you really only need to obey the glibc requirements (from my experience anyway). Naturally, you may be "unsupported" if you do not run the versions as per the release notes - contact the support centre if you are unsure. ...deon --- Have you looked at the A/NZ Tivoli User Group website? http://www.tuganz.org Deon George, Customer Support Account Engineer, IBM Australia Office: +61 3 9626 6058, Fax: +61 3 9626 6622, Mobile: +61 412 366 816, IVPN +70 66058 mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED], http://www.ibm.com/tivoli "Jolliff, Dale" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Sent by: "ADSM: Dist Stor Manager" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> 06/06/2003 04:02 AM Please respond to "ADSM: Dist Stor Manager" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To [EMAIL PROTECTED] cc Subject Re: Linux Server Distributions I have been able to install the 5.1.5 server on Redhat 9 (yesterday, hence my post about the missing portions of the install). The part that gets installed seems to work - so far.
