behalf. I fully agree with you that TSM ought to provide some kind of
logging in this case (just to write in actlog admin's name instead of node

What you say is true, but If an admin changes the node's password,
they have left tracks. They cannot change the password back to what it
was, unless they knew what it was to start with. The next time the client
goes to use TSM, they will be aware that their password was changed.

When TSM reclaims offsite tapes, it uses the onsite copy of the data, not
the offsite tape (if the copypool tape is offsite), so your hardware is

I have not tried the AIX 5.1.5.15. 5.1.5.11 was the highest patch
level when I started my problem analysis.
I do have 5.1.5.15 running on a handful of Window 2000/XP clients for
about a week with no problems.

I'm not sure whether that answers your question entirely, but if it

I suspect you are using Windows2000?? I've had the same problem.
Solution:
Remove backupreg from dsm.opt
Deleted adsm.sys
Since the registry is included in the "system objects" backup adsm.sys is
not needed
Dont forget to have domain all-local or domain systemobjects in your
optfile.

(files) and TDP (application). TSM licenses are processor-based (v5.1) or
system-size (v4.2 and below) and do not depend on number of nodes over the
system.
For TDPO (RMAN) I would highly recommend to look at TDP for Oracle manual
