When doing "move drmedia * wherestate=mountable" it does. It checks
them out of the library. I don't believe there is a way to check them
out with this command without "checklabel".

We are having an adventure trying to configure a 3494 ATL and 3590-FC
drives to be used by TSM on an AIX server. Never having done this kind of
configuration before, we are having lots of issues and questions.
Existing configuration is a 3494 ATL with 6-3490 and 8-3590 ESCON attached
drives, up
Checked the archives regarding this to no avail. Is it possible to restore
file permission but not the data?? Thanks in advance.

Hi All,
I am running TSM 4.2.0 and one of my nodes is a Domino Server on Windows

Domino databases and mail files. I am getting a few failures for the same
mail files all the time. Log says

Hi,
How can I prevent my 3583 library to check barcode labels when using "move

I could not find checklabel option in the command help.

Hi Paul,
thank you for ur reply.
i run the command and here is the output:
mtlib -l /dev/ATL0 -qV -V A9
Volume Data:
volume state.Volume is Misplaced
logical volume...No
volume class.3590 1/2 inch cartridge tape
volume type..EHPCT extended length
volser...
Don't Worry.
TSM does not delete volumes every now and then...
The volume was probably empty, but unavailable.
because you have changed it to reado, it became available,
and because it's an offsite volume it became scratch, and deleted from pool.
now you can use it as scratch.
Regards,
Ran.
