TSM (Managing System) / MgSysLAN (Managed) / MgSysSAN (Managed) types.
Each type does have Tier 1 / Tier 2 / Tier 3 / Client licenses. And

Betcha it's still recording, but to a dsmsched.log file in a different
directory. That can happen easily.
Try:
find / -name dsmsched.log
see if there are more of them.

The logs are probably being written in a different location. If you
don't specify the location of the schedule log and error log in the
dsm.sys file it gets created in the tivoli directory where the dsm.sys
file is. You need to have the following in the dsm.sys file:
dsmschedlogname /xxx
We have done this once for a customer - they were unable to transfer
immediately DLT libraries to TSM and used it with standalone drives for
month or two.
The main concern was: human should make loads/unloads of media (TSM admin
was the "library robot" :) Put longer mount retension times plus

I was able to find the registry directory under the C:ADSM.SYS directory and I deleted

running 4.1.4. I noticed the dsmsched.log & the
dsmerror.log stopped recording since 2/13. The backup
is still going on everyday and the client have been

This sounds similar to another problem - not sure if it is the same.
Check if the rights on the ADSM.SY directory have been changed - for the
schedule - the "system account" needs full rights to the directory.

What have you totalled - sum(capacity) or sum(capacity * pct_util / 100) ?
Latter will give you the ammount of data while former will give you the
space in filesystems (occupied and non-occupied). Also take into account
that not all the data may be backed up - you can exclude some files.

I did this on a test server, with a full production database. The
unload took 16 hours, the load took 7 hours. I started the audit, and
it appeared that it would run 92 hours. I did not let it finish, so
I do not know how long it would have actually run.

sure it would fit in TSM environment without performance degradation. For
me this might be something very similar to cheap "RAID" advertized by PC
mainboards but with all the problems IDE/EIDE/ATAPI devices have - no
PC Connection lists Fuji at $90 each, so you should be able to get a better
price in quantity from someone.
I'm a bit surprised, actually -- about 5 months ago the best price I saw was
$107 in quantities of 100.
