I have a customer considering LTO drives as part of their backup strategy.
Currently a number of NT boxes and AS/400's are backed up to an AS/400
using TSM to write to the AS/400's 3570.
Is it possible to fit an LTO into this solution to replace or augment the
3570 ?

Del volh type=dbbackup todate=today...it will left only the last one which
is not lto_lib2... and this is the one that you can use incase need to
restore adsm as latest as possible...

Two many bugs in 4.2.1.5 and mount point pb not resolved.
Jumped to 4.2.1.6, mount pooint pb seems to be solved but
- Licence problem unde AIX is still there
- Have de same ANRD : Mount point deadl
First remove them from the library and reinsert them and have the 2nd
library grab them and assign it's own category to them.

about two (2) files, but the one with the "S-1-5-21-." is the unique ID
that gets assigned to the user logged on to the system, which stores

The 4.2.1.15 client works for me on XP (Professional) in polling mode.
Is your TSM server configured to support polling?
What do dsmsched.log and dsmerror.log show from the time you started the
scheduler service?
One test you can do is to set up a test schedule for the problem node, set
SCHEDMO
You have to set the password expire period to 0 days (that is zero) (use
update node passe=0 and update admin passe=0). The default is blank and
goes to 90 days or 60 I don't remember. I set this on the node and
administrative client for the node.

That's to do it automagically - even at 3.1, we always had the capability to
start multiple sessions ourselves.
If you have a C: and D: drive, you can open a window and start a backup of
C:, then open another window and start the backup of D: concurrently. Or do
the same thing in the background

situation I'm in with q dr. There are times nothing comes back, the system
just sits there. Yesterday I issued a command to do a db backup with RMT1
online. Since nothing was going on it tried to use that drive I'm sure.

Check to see if your full backup failed. You can not do an incremental
backup of the exchange information store with out a full backup.

The vts origionally had 6 frame units with 6 drives (base end unit,
high availability frame at the other end, and 4 storage frames with
drives). To support TSM we've now added 8 more frames and 12 drives.
