kai,
1) under OS/390 almost for every task or activity a SMF record is
generated.
These records are collected in the SYS1.MAN* datasets. Usually, this
data
is extracted to different gdg's for whatever purpose. It makes the
working
with SMF data much more easier if you have

Yes. The startup script claimed it didn't come up.

Gisbert,
You don't say which TDP you are using.
My experience is a little old, but in TDP for Oracle there is an environment variable
which tells TSM the "expected" size of the object. If this is greater than the
biggest file allowed in your storage pool, the backup will go straight to tape.
The easiest way is to put it in a CGI executable directory (in Apache it's
a directory with ExecCGI option in the httpd.conf file) and make sure the file
has executable permissions set.

My approach is modular, get the person learning one aspect for a few days
e.g. anything to do with backup schedules.
I lay a whole bunch of tasks in increasing complexity/thought until that
person starts being confident in it, then I start with a different one.
If you are training several people,
We run a nightly archive of 70 GB that is taking just over 8 hours
uncompressed. In our Magstar 3570 we have two different tape drives. My
question follows: Is it possible to be running two different archives at
the same time to cut down the processing time? If it is possible how
