Have you checked the client side of things - the connect agent and Adsm/Tsm
client level should be the same on both machines.

Sorry to jump in late, but I've seen a technician use a turntable (you know
- record player - think before CD's) to do this. The spindle on the Hard
Disk is very close to weight center on it. Got it spinning at 78rpm, then
grabbed it off.

If I use "Insert Unlabelled Cartridge" function , wouldn't it
overright the existing label. ?
In fact I did manulally mount the tape in the drive and invoked
tapeutil , but couldn't find any way to read the VOLSER.
