Re: [vdr] Can VDR record only new episodes of shows?
Hi! Yes, Now I got it work.. (My bad) Error was that, that I didn't have ONLY that Movie/Drama set on... I had other category set on same time. What IS, in my opinion, a bug! Because in real life, program can only have one category and if I want to record programs from two or more categories, I need to make those as different record searches. And now when I got it work, I can really see that providers put too many programs under that Movie/Drama category, especially programs what are NOT movies (but could maybe categorize to drama, if you think "widely") :-) Thank you! Most of the time the providers deliver complete nonsense here. Do you use an epgsearch version that supports this type of search already (I've added it in 0.9.25-beta19)? [vdr] Breaking sound at playback
Hi! This question is directed more to Finnish DBV/VDR gurus... I have problem with YLE recordings. When watching "live" proadcast, sound is just right but when watch same program as recoded, sound is breaking, picture is fine, but sound have short gaps.. Like when there is not enougth CPU power to decode it. IF I play that file directly with xine sound is fine.. No problem. During watching, when sound start breaking, if I "jump" few second backward sound is fine for a while, but then start breaking again. So this problem is only with YLE recordings, other channels are fine always. I have tried to change almost everyhting at xineliboutput and replay settings, nothing helps. This is not version related (atleast not vdr version). -- JJussi ___ vdr mailing list vdr@linuxtv.org http://www.linuxtv.org/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/vdr

Re: [vdr] VDR 1.5.10, Subtitles gets out of sync
Hi! I just changed to 1.5.10. I set at Install - DVB menu subtitles on, selecting "Fin - Eng - Sve" as three subtitles types (yes, I have tried just one, Fin - too) I set at Keymacros.conf one "User"-key to Subtitles When I go to channel (YLE 1/YLE 2) what uses subtitles, I get OSD info " DBV Subtitles", pressing Enter removes that text. But can not see any subtitles at screen. Pressing that "User" key brings information that there is subtitles (Fin) at present and it is selected, but still no subtitles.. This kind of "problems" I had too.. When I report that playback is going faster than recording. I.e. you start recording and after awhile (maybe only 10 second) you start playback of that recording. Because playback is faster that "real life" you reach (in some poin of time) place where you are 0 (zero) seconds behind on going recording. AND in that point your playback start freeze and jump loop. -- JJussi ___ vdr mailing list vdr@linuxtv.org http://www.linuxtv.org/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/vdr

Because CPU speed is controlled with "ondemand" style. When there is no "need" for power, speed is lowered.. That point (at point where playback has not started yet) cpu power was not needed. -- JJussi ___ vdr mailing list vdr@linuxtv.org http://www.linuxtv.org/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/vdr
