Shrink text in OO4

2016-07-16 Thread keith
Hi,

I need to shrink a section of text, in OpenOffice 4 writer, so it shows
very small but can still be read by the computer. Can you tell me how to
do this (if it can be done)?

Many thanks

Hi,

1.
Is there no cost at all, to use the Math and Draw component APPs on the Mac
environment?

2.
Will these APPs also work on the iPHONE?

Best wishes,

Paul

Helping More People Access Open Office

2016-07-16 Thread don wonnell
It helped when I found out we need to contact APACHE, but this was hard to find
out when OO 3.1 stopped working. Only saw it on Wikipedia after several weeks
of no service with 3.1.

More communicating and marketing will help many people, and of course help
your firm.

Hi Don,

Just to make you aware the Apache Software Foundation (ASF) is not a
firm, business or corporation.
Apache OpenOffice is one of the many ASF FOSS (Free Open Source
Software) projects. See: https://projects.apache.org/projects.html
As such there is no "marketing" in the sense you mean.
Regarding communication, for a working program the in-built "Help"
facility provides full communication information, otherwise a web search
for "OpenOffice Help" the first hit returned by Yahoo and most other
search engines links to: http://www.openoffice.org/support/
Version 3.1 is very old (released before Apache OpenOffice was
established) and has known security vulnerabilities. If you haven't
already done so, an upgrade to version 4.1.2 would be advisable.

Note: I am just a user of the software and do not write for or on behalf
of the ASF or any of it's projects.

Regards
Dave

Just edit the font size of the style associated with that section of text.
If no style is associated with only that section of text, create a new one
and associate it with that text.

Up to a certain point, depending on the font you are using. Highlight
the text you want affected and then adjust the point size. To do this,
in the tool bar near the top of the window, there is a box with the name
of the font (the default is Times New Roman) and next to that is a box
with the point size in effect (12 is the default). Click on the arrow
to the right of this 12 and select a smaller number. Some fonts can be
made smaller than others.

locked file

2016-07-16 Thread

Having trouble with a UBS. I have a ODT file which I can't open. It
states corrupt and therefore cannot be opened can try to repair
file, should Open Office repair the file so I press Yes, and then I get a
blank page at the top says repaired doc.

There is an attached locked file of 1kg. It is a big file 56,000kg.

I also have the same file on the computer -I made a copy of the usb, but
I am unable to open it.
