Nasrin Khaksar, Thank you for your request. Apache OpenOffice does not produce docx files. There is no effort to provide docx output at this time. There are free products that do feature interoperable support for docx and the other OOXML formats (xslx, pptx, etc.). Users who make us of such products can give suggestions based on their experience. I do not use any of those for working in docx so I have no informed recommendations. You can use LibreOffice to save .DOCX. However, whenever possible, you should use plain .DOC, due to incompatibilities even within Microsoft Office. Sony, Thank you for your comments. Yes, this is a desirable feature. I don't think there is any longer any serious question about that. The reality is that Apache OpenOffice, a volunteer-developed software product, does not have the means to provide the feature at this time and cannot plan on it.
