Hello, I can't find anything on this…. my times and times new roman fonts have gone away. I tried to cut and past the font change but it comes out differently on the post here that what is copied. What can I do. I use times and times new roman fonts on 95% of what I do. Thank you, Elton L. Help with inserting and deleting rows in spreadsheet
I'm trying to use this product but find it full of complicated abilities and NO SIMPLE buttons for common things like "inset a row" "delete a row" etc. It is not apparent how to get the answer to a simple question on the support site. Can anyone point me to a plain English version of basics? Many thanks! Re: Help with inserting and deleting rows in spreadsheet
Have you used any spreadsheet before? AOO works like most of the others including excel. For example, create a new spreadsheet. On the far left you will see a column of numbers representing the rows and across the top you will see a row of letters representing the columns. If you do not see these features go to Menu->View->Colum & Row Headers and turn them on. To insert a row, place the selection (i.e. "click") in the column of numbers on the row where you want to insert a row. Right click on the column on numbers and select "insert rows". Inserting columns works similarly. Pretty SIMPLE! Additionally, you will find a lot of helpful information by using the Menu->Help->OpenOffice Help item. In my experience the OpenOffice help is the most useful of any application I have ever used. HTH. With Calc open to any spreadsheet, click "View" in the menu bar, choose Toolbars, and look for a check-mark in front of "Formatting." If it's not there, click on Formatting and the Formatting Toolbar will appear. 2. Look in this Toolbar for a set of 4 icons that look like tiny 3x3 matrices. One will have a horizontal green line across its middle, another will have a horizontal red line across its middle. A third will have a vertical green line at its center and the fourth will have a vertical red line. These insert (green) and delete (red) rows or columns at the current cell location. Hovering the mouse cursor over each icon will show what it does. If multiple rows (columns) are selected, multiple rows (columns) will be inserted or deleted. 3. In the event these icons are not found, right click the toolbar anywhere between icons and choose "Customize Toolbar." Then scroll through the list to hunt for these icons in the list; check those you want to add, and click OK. --- This email is free from viruses and malware because avast! Re: Need Help - Solved, got help
Quick update. Since I was really interested in password security of OpenOffice, Vanessa had not much trouble to talk me into giving it a try. So I compiled an MPI version of john and started it on my i7-2600 4-core 3.4GHz on 7 CPUs, John chose to use the AVX extension (no fancy graphic card - so no NUMA or CUDA) I had some infos (language + max pw length) from Vanessa. It took a total of 77h of CPU time in incremental mode (no hit in single shot and dictionary mode) to get a 7 character all lower case password with this setup. I was able to send back an unencrypted 433 pages book. No, I'm not that interested - I won't do that a second time. I provided all information needed to do it yourself.
