Find the person that gets the most amount of hits on ubuntu related videos and ask for some pointers or ask them to do some focused Review? Start at the beginning. What is the problem you're trying to solve? E.g. Nixie pixel did a small review on ubuntu-tv . Was that canonical approaching youtubers or youtubers approaching canonical at a stand? The stand was put up, people came up and asked to do interviews as I understand it. We may put out feelers to "established" news organisations for formal interviews. But the youtubers almost certainly just rock up and shove a mic in your face. Not sure what you mean by beta/alpha developers. If we're talking about developers to build their own apps, they will go through alpha and beta versions of their apps. > > Experience with OSS is looks good on CV (yes / no) It depends on the project. In my case it's enabled me to put a new language on my CV (Vala). At the very least, it means that your code is available online so can be checked easily. So if someone wants to check how good a developer you are, being able to check some of your real code produced for an OSS project is a lot better than having you take an artificial test or asking loaded questions during an interview.
