Native languages (not Greek)
Hello everyone, I would love to know what the position that Ubuntu CY members hold with regard to Cypriots that do not have Greek as their native language such as Turkish for example. Is there support in this mailing list for Cypriots with non-Greek native languages? What are your thoughts about this? Regards, Mario

Currently, as far as I know, no member understands turkish well enough to provide support in that language. Or at least no-one volunteered to translate the documents and reports. :-( If you know someone, please let them know that it would be good to have them on board! Ok , Im glad to see you guys take things this way. I can arrange for the translations to be performed. I would also like to see more and more Turkish Cyps in the community. It would be nice to show others that "here" we act as a more unified approach to the purpose. How can we go about the translations? Regards, Maz.

The main wiki site "intro" text ( https://wiki.ubuntu.com/CypriotTeam ) will soon be changed in English/Greek - I'll let you know soon about the turkish translation, I'll add a "NeedsTurkishTranslation" category to every wiki document/report/event, it will be easier to search for. As it is now, just about every page under https://wiki.ubuntu.com/CypriotTeam/ needs to be translated, it's quite a load. :)

We also need the ubuntucy.org website to be translated in Turkish as well. And we will need a Turkish speaking person to check the turkish posts on the forum for profanity and general compliance to the rules of the forum. Any volunteers for that? Ill be in touch in the next couple of days , going to tryband track down an old friend studying in Germany that speaks fluent Turkish. Give me a few days. Btw it would be nice to setup a summer meeting so some tasks can be set for the summer , goals. , etc...
