[Bug 220143] Re: update manager crashed while updating from Gutsy to Heron
I used the upgrade manager to download some reccomended updates to Heron, and now my sound and internet aren't working, so I can't post the xorg log file you asked for. Sorry! I think I'm gonna go back to Gutsy for a week or two then try Heron again. Looks nice from the screenshots, just doesn't seem to be ready for my Thinkpad T42 laptop for some reason. Thanks to everyone in the Ubuntu community, its a great OS, I think I'm just to much of a newb to try out release candidates. -- update manager crashed while updating from Gutsy to Heron https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/220143 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 220143] Re: update manager crashed while updating from Gutsy to Heron
I have since upgraded to the 'final' Hardy Heron release, and I had no trouble at all, no error messages. I don't have any of the files or logs or anything saved from the RC when I ran into the bug. How can I help with this bug? Would it be useful is I tried to reinstall Heron and see if the bug happens again? The video drivers for my card always seem to be a little buggy (ATI radeon mobility, I forget the model but its not supported by fglrx), could that be the problem with Xorg? Everything is running great now, 8.04 seems to be a really awesome product. -- update manager crashed while updating from Gutsy to Heron https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/220143 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 1962293] [NEW] fps drop with on-demand profile
Public bug reported: Hi, I have Lenovo Ideapad S540 with a NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1650 with Max-Q Design (GPU 0) and Ubuntu 20.04, when I choose the on-demand profile, everything is fine except bothering fps drop, when moving curser or opening a window and etc. So with the last update which power saving is disabled, I have to downgrade to the previous version, because of high power usage with the performance profile. I have this problem with ubuntu 18.04 and continues till now. ** Affects: ubuntu-drivers-common (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1962293 Title: fps drop with on-demand profile To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/ubuntu-drivers-common/+bug/1962293/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 256777] Re: POP server port setting is missing, setting other port then 25 not possible
OK, enough. Comcast just changed from port 25 to 587 because 25 was "too busy" and now I am shut out of using Evolution Mail. I've had to switch to Thunderbird where I can put in the 587 port. Public bug reported: I was trying to create an OGG from series of PNG files. It was working well before but I have updated some libraries and not it's now. I think it's related to the updated libc for intrepid. [Bug 130888] Re: Can't choose ica protocol
I have the installed the ICA client from Citrix. It installed all it's files into /opt/ICAClient The location of 'wfica' is /opt/ICAClient/wfica and also there is a /opt/ICAClient/wfica.bin The only binary it places in /usr/bin/ is wfcmgr. I have tested the ICA client by itself and it works fine. Yet in 'tsclient' the option of adding a ICA connections is still greyed out. I thought it might be because 'wfica' is not in the PATH. I created a symbolic link to '/opt/ICAClient/wfica' at '/usr/bin/wfica' then logged out and back in again. This didn't make a difference, the option is still greyed out. -- Can't choose ica protocol https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/130888 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
