[Bug 244405] [NEW] ubuntu freezes on log out or switch user
Public bug reported: well i think there might be a lot of duplicates of this but i think that i am having a slightly different problem. ubuntu starts normally and i can log in, but once i am logged in, when i try to log out or switch user, i just get a blank screen and I have to do a hard reboot in order to fix it. I am not using kubuntu or xubuntu, just ubuntu with the gnome interface. let me know if there are any files I need to attach... ** Affects: ubuntu Importance: Undecided Status: New -- ubuntu freezes on log out or switch user https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/244405 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

Public bug reported: Suspend does not work at all with an ati card. It goes into suspend fine, but on resume, the monitor won't turn on. The only way out is a hard reboot. [Bug 329285] [NEW] Suspend does not work without proprietary ATI graphics driver.
Public bug reported: Basically, if the proprietary ATI graphics driver is not enabled in "Hardware Drivers", suspend will not work. It will go into suspend, but it will not come out. It just gives a blank screen, and a hard shutdown is the only way to make it work again.
