[Bug 573132] [NEW] User interace does not work with high DPI settings.
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: software-center Ubuntu Release: Ubuntu 10.04 LTS Package Version: software-center 2.0.2 0 The font appearance preferences were changed so that the resolution became 120 dpi. Consequently, some items in the Ubuntu Software Center's user interface overlap. (See the screen shot attached.) ** Affects: software-center (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Tags: interface user -- User interace does not work with high DPI settings. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/573132 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 501802] [NEW] Screen Not Updated After Session Restored
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: firefox-3.5 * Architecture: 64-bit, AMD * "lsb_release -rd" says the release is "Ubuntu 9.10" * "apt-cache policy nautilus" says the installed version of Mozilla Firefox is "3.5.6+nobinonly-0ubuntu0.9.10.1" * When launching Mozilla Firefox and loading a previously saved session, the pages appear to load indefinitely until the window is resized. So far, I have confirmed that it happens (three times) when I close Mozilla Firefox in a maximized state with more than one tab opened (saving the session) and then open it again; I get the pages to show when I restore the window to its unmaximized state; I can maximize it again and Mozilla Firefox will behave normally from thereon. ** Affects: firefox-3.5 (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- Screen Not Updated After Session Restored https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/501802 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 501802] Re: Screen Not Updated After Session Restored
Apparently, there are other conditions that trigger the bug's behaviour. One might be that Mozilla Firefox has not been started before since the system booted since I'm unable to reproduce the bug if I simply close Mozilla Firefox and reload it a few seconds later. -- Screen Not Updated After Session Restored https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/501802 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 500628] [NEW] Application Might Hang with NOMVNI Input
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: ibus * I'm using Ubuntu 9.10. * "apt-cache policy ibus" says ibus 1.2.0.20090927-2ubuntu2 is installed. Normally, when typing with NOMVNI (Vietnamese input), a valid sequence of Vietnamese quốc ngữ characters can be converted to Chinese-based chữ Nôm characters one at a time via a floating window containing a list of possible replacements. The user might have several "pages" of possible choices and can flip through these pages by using the up and down arrow keys. Once the correct character is found, the user usually presses the number corresponding to the character to finalize the selection. In some cases, some operations with NOMVNI can cause the application to hang. I've reproduced the bug, and the following can cause an application to hang: 1. Activate IBus and enable the NOMVNI input method. 2. Press the following key sequence one at a time: [g], [i], [o], [7], [i], [1], [down], [down], [down], [down]. 3. The application will hang (sometime with no text or with a Chinese character where the input was last active). There are other ways to cause the application to hang with this input method as well. ** Affects: ibus (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- Application Might Hang with NOMVNI Input https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/500628 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 500630] [NEW] Input Becomes Glitched After Trying to Convert Invalid Characters with NOMVNI Input
The window pops up when a valid sequence of characters has been entered and one of the number keys pressed. However, invalid character sequences may cause the text to follow the text input caret and the floating window for selecting Chinese characters will no longer appear although it will continue processing keyboard input as if it did. The following is an example of such a scenario: 1. Activate IBus and enable the NOMVNI input method. 2. Press the following key sequence one at a time: [w], [1]. 3. The text will follow the text input caret and the floating window for selecting Chinese characters will no longer appear although it will continue processing keyboard input as if it did. You cannot get rid of the "ghost" without switching to another input method. ** Affects: ibus (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- Input Becomes Glitched After Trying to Convert Invalid Characters with NOMVNI Input https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/500630 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 500724] [NEW] Comment Icon Overlay Conflict
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: nautilus * "lsb_release -rd" says the release is "Ubuntu 9.10" * "apt-cache policy nautilus" says the installed version of Nautilus is "1:2.28.1-0ubuntu3" * If you add a comment to a file, the small comment icon "invades" the space taken up by the file name. This is always true for Compact View, but it's also happens when the text is displayed besides the icon in Icon View. See the screen shot. ** Affects: nautilus (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- Comment Icon Overlay Conflict https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/500724 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
