Same problem here. I want to view YouTube-videos on my TV. I drag the Firefox-window to the TV, and maximize it, and then click the fullscreen button. Then the video is shown on the monitor, not the TV, and in the wrong resolution aswell. With Opera, the video is actually shown on the TV in fullscreen, but it looks like it thinks that the TV has the same resolution as the monitor (why??), and then it gets completely wrong. Here's the workaround: start kobo with kobodl -nosound when kobo starts, create a player (just give it a name like AAA), then hit OK Then choose Options, then choose Audio And make the settings like this: Enable Sound: Yes Sample Rate: 48kHz Sound Latency: 50ms Mixing Quality: High Reverb Level: 100% Limiter Speed: Fast Limiter Gain: High My feeling is that the sampling rate was the issue, but after I made the changes sound started up just fine. Same problem here (NVIDIA). Enbling HW-acceleration in mms.cfg solves it, but makes it way to unstable on my 64-bit laptop (though HW- acceleration works great on my 32-bit HTPC). Removing VDPAU is not a solution at all. I am using Lucid and 802.11n is working great with iwlagn (same speed as in Windows, more than 3 times faster than 802.11g). Is Lucid using an older driver or the same? I tried Maverick from a USB pen and removed the workaround and 802.11n worked as in Lucid. I didn't check if the speed degraded... When Intel release a fix, will it be available in Maverick or do we have to wait for Ubuntu 11.04...? Public bug reported: Automatic updates(223) downloaded successfully but installation of some failed via GUI updater. dist-upgrade via terminal results in : update-alternatives: using /usr/share/icons/gnome/scalable/places/ubuntu-logo.svg to provide /usr/share/icons/gnome/scalable/places/start-here.svg (start-here.svg) in auto mode. update-alternatives: warning: skip creation of /usr/share/icons/gnome/256x256/places/start-here.png because associated file /usr/share/icons/gnome/256x256/places/ubuntu-logo.png (of link group start-here.svg) doesn't exist. update-alternatives: warning: skip creation of /usr/share/icons/gnome/48x48/places/start-here.png because associated file /usr/share/icons/gnome/48x48/places/ubuntu-logo.png (of link group start-here.svg) doesn't exist.
